Smart BMS Battery Description:

Battery protection board, as the name suggests, lithium battery protection board is mainly an integrated circuit board that protects rechargeable batteries (usually lithium batteries). The reason why lithium batteries (rechargeable) need protection is determined by their own characteristics. How to choose the right BMS board?
1. Determine your battery type (ternary/NCM, lithium iron/LFP, lithium titanate/LTO) and determine
The number of strings and parallels of the battery pack. Choose according to the number of concatenations.
2. Determine whether the battery pack is charged and discharged in the same port or in different ports. The charging and discharging of the same port is the same line, but a separate port is an independent charging and discharging line.
3. Determine the current value required by the protection board: I=P/U. That is, current = power/voltage. . Remember that this is only a theoretical value. In fact. We use this theoretical value as a reference. Taking into account the load, uphill and just starting environment, generally two-wheeled electric vehicles choose more than 2 times the theoretical value. Three-wheeled electric vehicles choose more than 3 times this theoretical value. Four-wheel low-speed vehicles generally have about 3.5 times. For inverters and energy storage products, 1.2 times is enough. Or refer to the current limit of the electric vehicle controller. ensure. The current value of the guard plate must be greater than the control current limit value.

 

How to connect the BMS to the battery pack?
1. Start from the B- wire to the negative of the battery (B- wire needs to be soldered with a short wire first), then connect the flat cable (the flat cable needs to be removed from the board before connecting the flat cable).
2. Start wiring from B0, connect B0 to the total negative of the battery (this string is not number 1), connect the cable B1 next to B0 to the positive of series 1, and connect the third cable B2 to the positive of series 2. The fourth cable B3 is connected to the positive pole of the AA battery ------ and so on.
3. After connecting the cables, measure the voltage between each two adjacent cables from the connector. The voltage of the lithium-ion battery should be less than 4.2V, and the voltage of the lithium iron phosphate battery should be less than 3.5V.
4. Connect the negative pole of the charger and the negative pole of the load to C-. B negative wire and C negative wire need to be welded with thick wire. The wiring method has nothing to do with the color, just the correct order.
5. Then measure whether the total battery voltage is equal to the output voltage of the protection board, if it is equal, it means that the BMS is working normally.
